Wynwood 28 presents Segmoments: The Architecture of Time

Saturday, August 12th from 7-10pm join us for the opening reception of segNOments: The Architecture of Time by Sergio Castiglione at Wynwood 28. Sergio Castiglione’s series, segMOments, explores a new concept of photography where space builds itself in the finite life of light. From Monet to 2001 Space Odyssey feature film time as a perception has been a major variable of life in culture, a means to think the real. In the works of Castiglione the metropolis is the place where the Homo Architectus creates a new time device. Tadao Ando, Le Corbusier, Sanaa, Toyo Ito are a few of the philosophers/architects who restate time in their projects.

Experience panoramic photographs of some of the most significant cities around the world that reveal the view of the artist/architect by capturing the morphological beauty of an architecture that is merged with light as a marker of time. Great iconic cities in the itinerary of the avant-garde traveler make it possible for time to be subdivided and multiplied, and with the artist’s intervention, day and night can be reunited in a single shot.
