Saturday, October 18th from 2 – 4pm The Contemporary Art Modern Project (CAMP Gallery) welcomes Art Table for a private tour, and CAMP’s first hosting of many in-gallery conversations starting with Nuria Richards, Founder of Clandestina Feria and Director of Development and Advisor of Strategy at Oolite Arts, Miami, along with celebrated fiber artist Aurora Molina and (FAMA) Fiber Arts Miami Association Founding Member, among other guests to discuss the contemporary fiber world and the role women play. Join the gallery after opening night of CAMP’s 7th Edition of Women Pulling at The Threads of Social Discourse: Don’t be Absurd, for a special round table talk bringing together two leading voices in Miami’s arts scene: Nuria Richards, Director of Development and Advisor of Strategy at Oolite Arts, and founder of Clandestina, a grassroots project that has supported over 300 artists; and Aurora Molina, celebrated fiber artist, co-founder of FAMA (Fiber Artists Miami Association), and founder of Play Studio Artelier. They will be joined by Melanie Prapopulos, founder and director of The CAMP Gallery, and Amy Arechavaleta, the gallery’s Head of Communications, to discuss the evolving role of fiber in contemporary art and the community networks shaping Miami’s cultural future.
