A titan of Cuban art in exile, Pellón fled to Paris in 1959, where she pioneered a unique expressionist visual language alongside master Surrealists and Europe’s avant-garde.
This collection highlights her use of striking color and abstract female forms that embody what critics called “the joy of being”. Pellón’s five-decade career spanned 150 global exhibitions. Her masterpieces reside in collections worldwide, including the Musée d’Art Moderne and the Lowe Art Museum.
Come celebrate 100 years of this extraordinary artist, whose archive is proudly handled by Cernuda Arte in Coral Gables, Florida.
