Tuesday, July 12th from 6 – 8:30pm HistoryMiami Museum presents Cultural Encounter: Miami Vinyl Experience with Sweat Records & Scratch Academy. Enjoy a night of musical history, culture, and connection at beloved Miami record shop, Sweat Records. Mix and mingle during happy hour beginning at 6pm, followed by a discussion on South Florida’s history of record stores, collecting, and vinyl pressing with Sweat founder Lolo Reskin. Experience a live demonstration of DJ culture and turntablism by Jamie Keogh, Director of Scratch DJ Academy, and then get in touch with your inner DJ! Scratch Academy instructors will lead one-on-one lessons at interactive DJ stations. Beginners welcome. Registration required.
