Miami Beach Botanical Garden presents ABOVE: Haiti, aerial photography by Kerry McLaney

Thursday, December 17th from 11am – 5pm experience the exhibition ABOVE: Haiti, aerial photography by Kerry McLaney at the Miami Beach Botanical Garden. Kerry McLaney was born and raised in Port-au-Prince, Haiti where she discovered photography at a young age. She attended Savannah College of Art and Design and currently lives and works in Miami, FL. Her art practice involves various types of film and digital photography that focuses on the stillness in landscapes. This is McLaney’s 5th solo exhibition.

ABOVE: Haiti was inspired by the Earth from Above series by Yann Arthus-Bertrand, a collection of aerial photographs from around the world in the 1990s. ABOVE: Haiti was shot over the course of two trips to Haiti and features images from various regions and provinces, including Port-au-Prince, Jacmel, Cap-Haitian and Grand Goave.
