Saturday, October 10th from Noon – 1:30pm NSU Art Museum presents Creativity Exploration: Decks for Discovery. Envision alternatives for the future by creating your own source for inspiration. Inspired by the decks of cards created by artist Suzanne Treister, imagine and design your own mixed-media deck of cards that can help shape your future actions, aspirations, and solutions to support your personal journey. Creativity Exploration adult workshops promote the benefits of material exploration and the mind-to-body experience. “Research suggests that experiencing art and creativity, even for a few minutes a day, has tangible effects on our mental and physical health” (New York Times). In addition to producing a sense of well-being, sessions expand participants’ perceptions of forms, while increasing brain connectivity through visual and cognitive stimulation. The workshop is led by educator Lark Keeler, a specialist in mindfulness education.
