PAMM Weekend Warm Up: Hot Stuff Records Presents the Severe Weather Compilation Featuring Venus Descent

Thursday, April 2nd from 7 – 9pm spend your Thursday nights at Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM)! This week, enjoy happy hour specials, a live music performance by Venus Descent, and the release of “Severe Weather: A Hot Stuff Records Cassette Tape Compilation.” Inside the museum, take a tour and explore new exhibitions and permanent collection galleries until 9pm.
Featuring 17 songs from some of South Florida’s premier underground bands and alternative artists, “Severe Weather: A Hot Stuff Records Cassette Tape Compilation” represents something increasingly rare today—honest songwriting, stripped of theatrics and delivered with an authenticity often missing in a world driven by algorithms and calculated social media strategy. The tape is limited to 100 copies, released with a 36-page zine, featuring band artwork, photos, lyrics & credits. Show up early for a free copy of the cassette compilation and zine!
Also watch a performance by Hot Stuff Records’ preeminent Miami band, Venus Descent. Venus Descent represents the purest distillation of the Severe Weather ethic, playing raw, stripped-down blues rock inspired by the music of rock and roll’s golden age. The band’s new single, “Big Star Big” is featured on the Severe Weather compilation and their full-length record, to be released later this year.
Music and happy hour are free on the terrace – the museum’s galleries feature free admission starting at 5pm. RSVP HERE.
