In a time of crisis, upheaval and emergency, what if the world is too much of a blur for us to see? How do curators think about time? Can they—should they—try to anticipate the moods and questions of the moment? Do art exhibitions have a shelf life? With planning that often takes years, is there a risk of major exhibitions being irrelevant by the time the public sees them?
