YoungArts Outside The Box: Yara Travieso’s “El Ciclón”

Saturday, May 12th from 7-9:30pm join us when YoungArts presents Outside The Box featuring Yara Travieso’s El Ciclón. Combining elements of theater, dance, cinema and music, “El Ciclón” is a wild neo-feminist mythology trapped inside a 1950s B-movie psychological thriller with singing, dancing, and just enough alligators created by director, filmmaker and choreographer Yara Travieso (2005 YoungArts Winner in Dance). Transforming the YoungArts Plaza into a South Florida swamp, Travieso sets the stage for heroine Ava, who finds herself in a precarious situation facing an impossible moral decision.
