DESCRIPTION:August 24–September 22\, 2026 \nMiami artist and creative director Shadia Sabagh presents an online Kickstarter campaign for Mirror\, a sculptural design object inspired by her personal practice of self-worth and self-love. Hand-cast in polyresin with a soft sky blue finish\, Mirror features a distinctive 16-point radial frame and reflects Sabagh’s evolving practice across art\, sculpture\, design\, and collectible objects. \nDeveloped over three years through Sabagh’s self-taught and self-funded resin practice\, Mirror represents a new chapter in her creative work and her first project created and released entirely on her own terms. \nThe Kickstarter campaign offers two tiers: The Mirror – Soft Sky Blue for $550 and The Mirror – Signed in the Back for $575. Each Mirror includes 120 digital self-worth and self-love affirmation cards. \nThe campaign runs through September 22\, 2026\, with an estimated delivery of December 2026. The exhibition and competition reflect Artgal.Online and Artgal Zim Center’s commitment to supporting both established and emerging artists while creating greater visibility for Zimbabwean art. \nThe event will culminate in a vernissage and awards ceremony on Saturday\, September 12th celebrating the participating artists and competition winners. \nFollowing the September 8–12 event\, the selected artworks will remain on exhibition at the Artgal Zim Center for an additional three weeks\, providing audiences with an extended opportunity to experience the exhibition from September 13th through October 3rd\, 2026. \n

SUMMARY:La Cometa Miami presents Liene Bosquê
DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, September 19th from 6 – 8pm experience the Opening Reception of Vestigios featuring Liene Bosquê at La Cometa\, Miami\, curated by Andrés Cordoba. The exhibition is on view September 6 – November 17\, 2026. “I am interested in the relationship between place and people—the influence they have on one another\, the conflict that exists between the two\, and the traces that are left once they have come into contact. In turn\, my multidisciplinary practice deals with the exploration of sensorial experiences within natural\, urban\, architectural\, and personal spaces. This includes sculptures\, site-responsive installations\, and socially engaged projects that find ways to fragment habitual positive and negative spaces.”  —Liene Bosquê. \nLiene Bosquê is a visual artist and art educator based in Miami\, born in Brazil. Bosquê’s installations\, sculptures\, site-specific projects\, as well as social engaged practice works have been exhibited in museums and galleries In the United States at MoMA PS1 in New York (2015)\, Museum of Contemporary Photography in Chicago (2013)\, Museum of Contemporary Art of North Miami (2020)\, Frost Art Museum (2022) in Miami\, among other places. Her artworks were also included in international exhibitions in Brazil\, Portugal\, Italy\, Turkey\, and South Korea; at places such as Museu de História Natural in Lisbon (2007)\, Museu de Arte de Ribeirão Preto (2006)\, and Sesc in São Paulo (2018). \nRecently Liene received Miami Individual Artists (MIA) Stipend Program Award to create new artworks. In 2019 Bosquê received the Ellies Creator Award\, Miami’s Visual Arts Awards\, and a WaveMaker Grant to present HamacaS Project. First iteration of this social engaged project in Florida was shown at MOCA North Miami during February 2020. \nBosquê is current in residency at Dimensions Variable in Miami and was 2023-2024 Artist Resident at Oolite Arts\, Miami Beach. Liene was an artist in residence at Wave Hill\, Bronx and at Queens Museum’s ArtBuilt residency both in New York. In 2016\, she received the Emerging Artist Fellowship from the Socrates Sculpture Park in Queens\, where she presented her first public sculpture. \nLiene Bosquê holds an MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago\, a BFA from the São Paulo State University\, and a BA in Architecture and Urbanism from Mackenzie University in Brazil\, where she is from. She is professor at University of Miami.
