Open for students in Grades 6-9. This Event is FREE & Open to the Public | REGISTER HERE. \nComplimentary parking on library premises. \nParticipants will have the chance to: \n\nWork with prefabricated 3D assets\nIncorporate personal media\nInfuse cultural elements reflecting backgrounds and communities\n\nGuided by prompts inspired by virtual reality artwork commissioned by Miami MoCAAD\, featuring talented artists from Africa and the African Diaspora including Brazil\, Haiti\, Zimbabwe\, and the United States (including Miami native\, Mark Thomas Gibson).

RSVP HERE. \nThe Miami Museum of Contemporary Art of the African Diaspora premieres “This Life: Black Life in the Time of Now” – A Captivating Documentary produced by Pass Story of Diaspora Forward\, Inc.’s Founder and Filmmaker Michael Anderson\, 5X Suncoast Regional Emmy Award-Winning storyteller; AND a Digital Exhibition Exploring Contemporary Black Existence. \n“This Life: Black Life in the Time of Now” presents art reflecting the experiences of four artists with very distinct stories. These artists\, whose heritages span three continents\, delve into varied perceptions of Black experience. Each artist brings a unique perspective and creative voice to exploring Black life today.
