DESCRIPTION:Friday\, September 7th from 6-9pm enjoy the Opening Reception of SOCIAL CODE at Arts Warehouse in Delray Beach during First Friday Art Walk. SOCIAL CODE is a juried art exhibition with works selected by Nichole Hickey. Comprised of 29 artists\, the works are varying interpretations of the idea of Art Vs. Social Media\, encompassing a variety of mediums with both 2D and 3D pieces. We’re excited to experience the video installation ‘I Am Climate Change’\, a short film by visual artists Cheryl Maeder and Marilyn Walter. SOCIAL CODE exhibition will be on view through September 29\, 2018.

Join Locust Projects and ArtCenter/South Florida at the Little Haiti Cultural Center for a conversation with Deana Haggag\, President and CEO\, United States Artists.\nAt USA\, Haggag leads the organization’s national fellowship program for innovative artists. Prior to joining the organization in February 2017\, she was executive director of The Contemporary\, a nomadic and non-collecting art museum in Baltimore. In addition to her leadership roles\, Haggag lectures extensively and has taught at institutions such as Towson University and Johns Hopkins University. She is on the boards of trustees of the Maryland Institute College of Art and Common Field\, and received a master’s degree in curatorial practice from the Maryland Institute College of Art.\nThis event is Free & Open to the Public / Register here.
