The fair welcomes both experienced and new art collectors who are looking to experience a carefully-curated\, rich-in-content presentation of the best in the global contemporary art market.\nArt Miami also presents the second annual CONTEXT New York fair\, dedicated to the development and reinforcement of emerging and mid-career artists. Located alongside Art New York\, the open atmosphere at CONTEXT New York is designed to generate meaningful dialogue between artists\, galleries and collectors while providing the ultimate platform to show cutting-edge talent from leading galleries around the world.\nArt New York and CONTEXT New York\, adjacent to each other at Pier 94\, begin with an elegant\, invitation-only VIP Preview event on May 3. A free event featuring a wide variety of chamber ensembles performing new music by composers Garry Rider\, Ferdinando De Sena\, Federico Bonacossa\, Gary Thomas\, Stephanie Curcio\, Miguel A. Nieves\, Mario Davidovsky\, and Orlando Garcia. Featured performers for the night will include choreographer and dancer Joanna M. Ursal\, the Salted Earth Dance Ensemble\, cellist Jason Calloway\, pianist Jim Gasior\, bassist Gary Thomas\, drummer Michael Piolet\, harpist Kristina Finch\, harpist Kay Kemper\, and the Music in Miami Chamber Ensemble. Guests will enjoy the famous art gallery showcasing the works of Melanie Sarria\, Amanda Covach\, Felipe Melendrez\, Peter Olsen\, Rachel Fontaine Morris\, Meg Wallace\, and Adria Llerena. The group’s first ever play will be featured by M.J. Fievre\, directed by Gladys Ramirez\, and featuring actors Amy Coker and Robert Fritz.
