DESCRIPTION:Thursday\, May 18th and Friday\, May 19th from 8pm-2am enjoy Chocolate and Art Show Miami at Wynwood Warehouse Project for a two night event of fine art\, great music\, tasty chocolate and good vibes\, benefiting Artists for Trauma (AFT). On opening night guest will meet & greet the artists and indulge in some of Miami’s finest up-and-coming fine\, contemporary and street artists\, photographers and artisans. There is something for everybody including live body painting\, live music\, face-painting\, culinary cuisine\, artisan vendors and free chocolate.\nThe Chocolate and Art Show contributes to positive social change by building a network of artists of all mediums\, collectors and artist enthusiasts to come together for two nights of celebrating the arts and supporting local business and local art community raising awareness and support for Artists for Trauma – a charity that nurtures and empowers the lives of both civilian and military trauma survivors by pairing recovering patients with established artists from various creative disciplines.\nExperience an incredible lineup of gifted artists and artisans in multiple genres\, who are giving back to the community through their art and creative talent. The show has a piece of art to resonate with everyone who enters the event. Outside there will be 5 amazing bands playing throughout the night! And for those foodies out there\, enjoy delicious culinary cuisines\, while inside mixology bartenders will keep you guessing ingredients all night long\, with guest Dj’s dropping huge beats for your entertainment.\nFREE street parking / show is 21+. General Admission Ticket $15 online (or) purchase tickets at the door at $20 each.

DESCRIPTION:Friday\, May 19th from 6-9pm join us at Emerson Dorsch for the opening reception of Iron Oar by Robert Chambers.\nChambers is a Miami legend. With his corkscrew wild hair and his rapid fire barrage of ideas that meld art & molecular biology or physics\, his persona is archetypal – even romantic. He has built upon the second part with storied and historic studio visits – more like happenings really – in his backyard jungle-studio-paradise in Coconut Grove. And with solo shows at the Sculpture Center in New York and the Laumeier Museum in St. Louis\, MO\, as well as a number of significant public art projects\, the impression he makes holds ground. About a year ago\, he took the helm at the Sculpture Department at FIU\, where he overhauled their facilities with the help of an enthusiastic team\, including a new foundry that can cast up to 700lbs of bronze.\nHe will use the newly renovated sculpture lab to create his show for Emerson Dorsch\, his first solo show in Miami in more than a decade. Exhibition runs through July 8\, 2017.
