SUMMARY:Oeno Gallery presents Fiona Ackerman: Botanical
DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, November 16th from 3-5pm experience the opening reception of Botanical at Oeno Gallery\, a solo exhibition featuring the work of artist Fiona Ackerman. Inspired by the narratives and botanical drawings of Canadian pioneers Suzanna Moodie and her sister Catharine Parr Traill\, Fiona Ackerman has created a series paintings that re-imagine nature. In her work\, Ackerman re-interprets the taxonomy of flora\, overlapping bold shapes with colorful flowers and stems\, seeds and fruit.
