DESCRIPTION:Thursday\, November 5th from 2-9pm and Friday\, November 6th from 11am-6pm\, the Pérez Art Museum Miami opens for a two-day PAMM members-only preview. After months of planning\, the museum is reopening and excited to welcome you back. Refamiliarize yourself with the galleries and be the first to see the museum’s newest exhibition\, Allied with Power: African and African Diaspora Art from the Jorge M. Pérez Collection. The museum will open to the public on November 7\, 2020.\nTo follow social distancing guidelines and manage gallery capacity\, members and visitors must reserve timed tickets online ahead of your visit. PAMM has implemented new hours of operation and safety precautions. Face masks covering the mouth and nose are required for all visitors and staff. Read more on how you can prepare before your visit.\nReserve Tickets \nPAMM Members also receive free parking during the preview. A complimentary invitation is also extended with gratitude to all first responders and healthcare professionals for their hard work during this unprecedented time.

Chris Byrd will be in conversation with Leyden Rodriguez-Casanova\, Co-founder & Co-director of DV.\nThe work of Chris Byrd is built upon a rigorously structured geometric abstract language that is simultaneously hard-edged and rational yet fluid\, lively\, and emotional. With such an approach\, the artist explores ideas concerning the making of meaning and the nature of existence. He holds a Master of Fine Arts from American University\, Washington\, DC\, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Atlanta College of Art\, Atlanta\, Georgia. The artist lives and works in Miami\, Florida.
