SUMMARY:Richard Kurtz: The 1040 & Other Works - Showing at Tears of Venus in Hollywood\, California
DESCRIPTION:Friday\, September 13th and Saturday\, September 14th from 6 – 9pm experience the Opening of Richard Kurtz‘ solo exhibition\, The 1040 & Other Works\, at Tears of Venus in Hollywood\, California. The gallery is located at 7527 West Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles\, CA 90046. \n“Richard Kurtz is a textural adventurer\, exploring the surfaces of old bank bags\, antique luggage\, children’s books — all of it left in his wake stamped with his flat\, painterly icons in reds\, blacks\, and whites: boxing colors\, bold and physical. This feisty imagery stands in contrast to the artist’s soft-spoken\, meditative personality\, making it that much more intriguing.” \nTears of Venus Gallery features Contemporary Art\, Curated Vintage and Art Wear. Featuring artwork by Richard Kurtz and Emily Esperanza. Vintage clothing from the 1850s to the early 2000s. Select vintage jewelry\, textiles\, home decor and oddities. One of a kind art wear collaborations by Richard Kurtz X Tears of Venus. Hand embroidered vintage by Jenny Loves Vintage.
