Knight Foundation through the museum’s Knight Art Commissions Program. \nVenezuelan American artist\, architect and cultural activist Carola Bravo challenges the traditional commemoration and use of public monuments by asking “what reflects impermanence better than recognizing invisibility and absence?” With Between Absence and Presence\, the artist highlights society’s inverted values\, reflecting the viewers’ gaze back towards themselves.
