Inspired by the Cuban modernist widely known simply as “Mariano”\, create a colorful composition making use of combined imagery related to your environment and national identity. While focusing on color\, shape\, line\, and placement\, remember to include your favorite animal\, fruit\, or even your favorite person! \nAdmission is free all day. SUMMARY:NSU Art Museum presents Creativity Exploration: Up-Cycled Beads
DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, August 13th from 12 – 1:30pm NSU Art Museum Fort Lauderdale presents Creativity Exploration: Up-Cycled Beads. Learn to make paper beads inspired by the wearable work of Ugandan artist\, Sanaa Gateja and the draped sculptures of El Anatsui. \nCreativity Exploration adult workshops promote the benefits of creative exploration and the mind-to-body experience. Studies have shown that 45 minutes of creative activity a day reduces stress and offers mental clarity and relaxation. In addition to producing a sense of well-being\, sessions expand participants’ perceptions of forms\, while increasing brain connectivity through visual and cognitive stimulation. The workshop is led by educator Lark Keeler\, a specialist in mindfulness education. \nNo prior experience is necessary.
