DESCRIPTION:Tuesday\, December 3rd from 7-8:30pm experience Trenton Doyle Hancock at Locust Projects with a Meet the Artist event and Miami Art Week Reception. The artists’ exhibition ‘I Made a Mound City in Miami Dade County‘ is on view through February 8\, 2010. The heroic adventures of Torpedo Boy and his battles in the Moundverse continue at Locust Projects this fall with a new site-specific installation by Houston-based artist Trenton Doyle Hancock. Experience work on exhibit by art duo and sisters KX2 in the group show Priceless\, they create striking wall and freestanding sculpture together.\nThe artist/sister collaboration known as KX2 combines the strengths of Dana Kleinman and Ruth Avra. Their work was swiftly put into the public eye with an invitation to represent the United States at the 2008 Beijing Biennale at the National Museum of China\, running in conjunction with the Summer Olympics. Since 2007\, their work has been featured in numerous museums and galleries across the United States and abroad.

SUMMARY:Armory Art Center: 3rd Biennial "Artists of Art Salon" Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:Friday\, December 13th from 6-8pm visit the Armory Art Center‘s gallery for the Opening Reception of the 3rd Biennial “Artists of the Art Salon” Exhibition. This exhibition features trends and ideas in contemporary art as seen through the eyes of some of South Florida’s most influential artists\, all of whom have given presentations at Elle Schorr’s Art Salons at the Armory since October 2015.\nThe exhibition features South Florida artist Dana Donaty\, widely recognized for her provocative canvases with unusual narrative. Donaty’s unmistakable satirical lexicon is a perfect collision of reality and fantasy\, outlandish burlesque\, psychological flirtation and a super charged palette that is like a party about to get thoroughly out of control. She has completed many award winning public art projects\, featured in over 50 national and international publications. She has garnered multiple awards within the design industry\, and is sought after to create unique commissions for high profile residential and commercial projects.
