SUMMARY:Jade Matarazzo's Solo Exhibition 'Everchanging Perspectives' at Curator's Voice Art Projects
DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, April 1st at 7pm experience the Opening Reception of the inaugural solo art exhibition Ever Changing Perspectives  – Look Up From Your Cellphone!  by renowned photographer Jade Matarazzo. The event will take place at Curators Voice Art Projects gallery in Wynwood\, created by noted photographic artist and student of the Sotheby’s Art Institute\, Jade Matarazzo. The exhibit\, in part\, draws attention to beautiful details in things around our daily environment that are missed in our high paced society. With a society that has its heads buried into cell phones and tablets\, the public walks across the streets of their cities\, not noticing\, seeing or even being aware of the details.  Ever Changing Perspectives gives a real\, detailed and sometimes shocking look at things all around us.\nMiami is the first showing for Ever Changing Perspectives\, which will show over 30 photographic works.  Following Miami\, the exhibit will move on to New York in May at the Brazilian Endowment for the Arts\, with a final presentation in the artist’s homeland of Sao Paulo\, Brazil in June. The exhibit is curated by Sorbonne educated Dr. Milagros Bello\, professor of art at the Miami International University and curator of Contemporary Art. The exhibition will be on view at Curator’s Voice Art Projects April 1st through April 9th\, 2017.

SUMMARY:Locust Projects presents David Kennedy Cutler\, Michael DeLucia\, and David Scanavino + Nice 'n Easy
DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, April 29th from 6:30-9:30pm join us at Locust Projects for the Opening Receptions of David Kennedy Cutler\, Michael DeLucia\, and David Scanavino in ‘Under Water‘\, as well as Nice ‘n Easy in ‘Open Up‘. Enjoy a Conversation with the exhibiting artists from 6:30-7:30pm and an Opening Reception from 7:30-9:30pm. Exhibitions on view through June 10\, 2017.\nUnder Water\, a collaboration between New York-based artists Michael DeLucia\, David Kennedy Cutler and David Scanavino. Their room-scale installation reinterprets a pastoral beach scene across two and three dimensions\, with synthetic sun and moon rising over a pixelated ocean. Evoking ambiguities of scale and dimension\, the artists tile\, wallpaper and construct this environment with CNC-routed forms and computer-generated textures. Under Water is a virtual landscape thatimports its digitality into physical reality.\nOpen Up\, features Miami-based artists Nice ‘n Easy (Allison Matherly and Jeffrey Noble) who use their signature subtropical vernacular style to create a new installation that centers around tiled benches bathed in a warm florescent glow. Treating posture as a proxy for intimacy\, the benches–with angled seat backs– invite visitors to sit back or lean forward in a binary of comfort and discomfort\, respectively. The comfortable configuration faces a video of the artists entering the ocean\, while the other positions its sitter in direct engagement with others in the space. Open up stages a microcosm of human interaction and the warmth\, frigidity\, desire\, and hesitation that can surface through these encounters.
