DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, September 14th from 6-9pm experience the 2019 Incoming Graduate Student Exhibition at the University of Miami Gallery in Wynwood. The Department of Art and Art History at University of Miami is pleased to present the work of its 2019 Incoming Graduate Students. The MFA program at UM is a 60 credit\, three-year program resulting in a terminal degree that both prepares students to enter the professional\, studio art world and qualifies them for college teaching. Entrance into the program is highly competitive with both national and international applicants.\nFeaturing:\nKimberly Bauldree (Micanopy\, Florida)\nTalia Ceravolo (San Diego\, California)\nJessica Dehen (Coral Springs\, Florida)\nChristine Di Staola (Hamilton\, Ohio. SUMMARY:Locust Projects presents FeCuOp: Antenna
DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, September 14th from 7-9pm enjoy the Opening Reception of FeCuOp: Antenna at Locust Projects. Antenna is a performative and interactive installation constructed primarily to solicit auditory participation created by the collective FeCuOp. With this installation FeCuOp seeks to create a social experiment with communication as its foundation. During the run of the exhibition FeCuOp will stage a series of activations throughout the run of the exhibition inviting conversations on communication and collaboration. This is FeCuOp’s first solo exhibition since 2003. On view through October 12\, 2019.

SUMMARY:Locust Projects: Borders of Freedom
DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, September 14th from 7-9pm experience the Opening Reception of Borders of Freedom/Contornos de Libertad at Locust Projects. Curated by Patricio Majano of Y.ES Contemporary\, Borders of Freedom launches Locust Projects’ new Screening Room with an exhibition of video works by six artists living in El Salvador and its diaspora. Borders of Freedom includes work from The Mario Cader-Frech Collection\, and more from the Y.ES Contemporary art loan program. Featuring four artworks from the program by artists Alexia Miranda\, Abigail Reyes\, Crack Rodríguez and Fredy Solan. Adding to this selection\, Majano selected works by Sayre Quevedo and Guadalupe Maravilla.\nBorders of Freedom will be presented on a rotating loop in The Screening Room on Saturdays from 11am to 5pm from September 14 to October 12\, 2019.
