DESCRIPTION:Wednesday\, January 16th through Sunday\, January 20th Art Palm Beach contemporary art fair returns for it’s 22nd year to the Palm Beach County Convention Center. Art Palm Beach is a leading international modern and contemporary art fair as well as the most important annual art event in The Palm Beaches. The fair\, founded in 1997\, is held in West Palm Beach and exhibits the works of international artists\, ranging from “the most promising emerging talent” to masters.\nErich Weiss will be this year’s guest curator of the fair’s new pavilions for art video\, design and art performances. Weiss is currently the curator at large at Barcelona’s Picasso Museum\, Rotterdam Institute: Museum for Architecture\, Design & Digital Culture\, as well as an art critic and curator specializing in Dada and Surrealism. DESCRIPTION:Tuesday\, January 29th from 12:30 – 1:15pm guests will enjoy free mindfulness sessions at the University of Miami Lowe Art Museum. The Art of Mindfulness – Recharge\, refocus and reclaim the day with a short introduction to mindfulness followed by a guided mindful sitting. Sessions are led by Alice Lash\, founder of Mindfultime\, and UM Professor Scott Rogers\, founder of UM’s Mindfulness in Law Program. First and third Tuesday of the month.\nMindful Looking – Slow down\, be present\, and spend time with one work of art in the Lowe’s galleries\, and enjoy a guided mindful looking exercise led by the Lowe Art Museum Education staff. Second and last Tuesday of the month.
