Arrive 30 minutes before tour start to purchase your ticket on-site. Guests are strongly encouraged to purchase tours online in order to reduce processing time on the morning of the tour. Masks are available for purchase on-site at the Gift Shop. Enjoy a video recorded conversation with two visual artists whose work centers on environmental awareness\, and relationships to our environments. Premiering on the Arts Warehouse Facebook\, and Youtube channel.\nCheryl Maeder: is a Fine Art Photographer and Video Installation Artist. The core of her work has always been about “connection”; the innate connection to the self\, each other and to all other life forms on this planet. Cheryl studied photography at the Zurich University of the Arts. After 8 years in Switzerland\, she returned to US and opened her photography studio in San Francisco where she photographed international advertising and fashion campaigns. Her work was the inspiration for the Dove Campaign on Real Beauty\, Real Women\, which transformed the way women are viewed in the global media today. In 2005\, Maeder relocated her studio to Miami area and deeply immersed herself into fine art photography and video installations. Her work is in permanent museum collections-Frost Museum\, Miami & Coral Springs Museum of Art and exhibited internationally-the Louvre Museum\, Paris & Museum of Contemporary Art Rome\, in traveling Public Art Group Exhibition\, curated thesis on Water\, Climate Change & Communities\nLisa Reindorf: Received a BA in Design of the Environment from the University of Pennsylvania and received a Master of Architecture from Columbia University. Lisa was also an instructor at RISD. She has been a guest speaker at environmental Conferences on how artists confront Climate change and environmental Issues\, discussing topics such as\, climate change depicted in art\, Artists and climate change activism\, and sustainable art in the time of climate change.

Join art historian and television personality Rocky Ruggiero and NSU Art Museum Director and Chief Curator\, Bonnie Clearwater\, for ‘Reawakening the Gods’ Live Virtual Lecture. During the second half of the 15th century\, Italian Renaissance artists moved beyond stylistic imitation of Greco-Roman Antiquity to embrace the depiction of mythological themes and deities\, which they incorporated into iconic works of the Italian Renaissance. During this live Zoom talk\, art historian Rocky Ruggiero will discuss works by artists such as Botticelli\, Leonardo Da Vinci\, Michelangelo\, Caravaggio and Bernini. SUMMARY:Bakehouse Art Complex: Community Clay Molding Workshops
DESCRIPTION:Thursday\, October 8th from 4-6pm join Miami-based artist Lauren Shapiro in a clay-pressing workshop to build her exhibition Future Pacific at the Bakehouse Art Complex\, an immersive\, site-specific installation.\nFuture Pacific will feature large-scale\, unfired clay structures that resemble architectural ruins covered with textures sourced from coral reefs. To build the exhibition\, Shapiro will engage the local community through a series of hands-on\, physically-distanced workshops at the Bakehouse. Participants are not required to have previous experience in ceramics and may contribute to the installation by pressing clay into the silicone molds and then applying the forms to foundational structures inside of the gallery.\nWorkshops will take place throughout October\, on Tuesdays and Thursdays\, 4:00 – 6:00pm and on Saturdays\, 10:00am – 5:00pm. Nereida Garcia Ferraz is a Cuban-born artist whose practice encompasses painting\, photography\, video\, sculpture\, and social art projects exploring identity and feminist themes\, nature\, beauty\, and the physical world. Her work has been exhibited by or is in collections of institutions such as the Museum of Modern Art in New York\, Yale University\, The San Francisco Art Institute\, The Museo de Arte Moderno in Mexico City\, and MDC Museum of Art and Design\, among many others.\n“As we continue to function in a digital sphere\, PAMM remains dedicated to Miami-based artists and is excited to offer our Local Views at PAMM series weekly. Artists will discuss their artistic practice\, their creative process\, and how it relates to the museum.” Local Views at PAMM gives visitors a first-hand interaction with local artists by creating conversations centered around art and the creative process.
