DESCRIPTION:Wednesday\, October 17th through Sunday\, October 21st\, 2018 enjoy Art Nashville\, the latest annual destination for the international art world: Nashville\, Tennessee. Art Nashville is on course to being a vibrant\, multi-faceted\, and much needed art fair in the southern region of the United States. It is projected to draw at least 35\,000 attendees in its first year to experience exhibits from 60+ local and international art galleries. As such\, Art Nashville will be akin to the CMA Music Festival of the arts (the CMA drew over 100\,000+ in 2018). The Fair will be held at Vanderbilt University in an A-frame pavilion.

DESCRIPTION:Sunday\, October 21st from 1-3pm experience the solo exhibition by Harumi Abe: I Love You Now\, I Love You Before\, I Love You After. Guests will enjoy a Reception and Artist Tour with Harumi Abe at the Artists in Residence in Everglades\, AIRIE Nest Gallery in Homestead\, Florida. The exhibition is on view September 12th through November 9th\, 2018.\nShakkei 借景 \, a Japanese term describing 17th century borrowed scenery\, is the principle for incorporating background landscape into the composition of a garden found in traditional East Asian garden design. In this exhibition of abstract paintings\, layered landscapes and memories emerge as fresh perspectives on Florida and Japan. Abe paints impressive visual topography of her inner self and sense of belonging to both places.\nHarumi Abe is a visual artist born in Japan\, who holds an MFA from FIU and has taught at the Savannah College of Art and Design\, as well as other colleges in South Florida. She has exhibited extensively at venues in Miami and Fort Lauderdale\, and her works are collected by the Girls Club\, Liza and Arturo Mosquera and other private patrons.
