DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, July 27th from 11am – 12:30pm enjoy a tour of Downtown Coral Gables with the Coral Gables Museum. Stroll through the bustling business district of Coral Gables. This thriving area began in the 1920’s. Did you know the Colonnade Hotel was once the Coral Gables Sales Center? Or that electric trolleys once connected downtown Coral Gables to downtown Miami? Visit historic Mediterranean Revival buildings\, including a former Ford dealership\, outdoor theater and riding club. Newer additions to the cityscape help tell the complete downtown story. This program is generously supported by the Historic Preservation Association of Coral Gables.\nThe tour is approximately 1.5 hours / $5 for Museum Members\, $10 for general public.

DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, July 27th and Sunday\, July 28th from 11am-5pm enjoy a family day at the NSU Art Museum Fort Lauderdale\, the museum has designated the last Saturday and Sunday of this month as Fort Lauderdale Neighbor Day\, which provides free admission to Fort Lauderdale residents on the designated dates. Residents may visit the Museum free of charge on the monthly “Fort Lauderdale Neighbor Day” through Sunday\, September 29\, 2019.\nIn addition to free Museum admission\, Fort Lauderdale residents will receive a 10% discount on catalogues published by NSU Art Museum Fort Lauderdale and sold in the Museum Store. For free admission\, residents will need to show a photo ID\, driver’s license\, or residential utility bill that lists a Fort Lauderdale address.

A period during which officials mandate that all radio wave-based transitions cease\, Radio Silenceallows us to consider the objectives\, means\, and modes of power of the human connection. Through measured and still moments\, a quiet meditation is expressed to break the analog and digital broadcasts. The exhibition addresses issues of the self and identity\, family\, tradition\, pollution\, gentrification\, voicelessness\, and nonverbal communication.
