DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, December 18th from 12 – 1pm enjoy Family Day at The Underline\, Art of Nature. Bring the whole family to explore nature through interactive art\, dance\, music and storytelling classes at Art of Nature\, part of Family Day at The Underline! With the support of The Frederick A. DeLuca Foundation and Cornelia T. Bailey Foundation\, The Underline is partnering with local non-profit Arts for Learning to teach children the critical importance of South Florida’s history and ecosystem. \nThis curated curriculum of multi-disciplinary art classes will enable kids’ minds to explore Miami’s rich cultures\, ecosystems\, nature\, science\, and sustainability with the guidance of professional artists! There are 2 programs and 2 class time slots each Saturday to choose from\, take one or both of the 30-minute activities from 12-1 PM or 1-2 PM at the Brickell Backyard Promenade\, on SW 1st Ave between SW 10th and 8th streets. \nKids must have a parent or guardian with them at all times. \n🎟 This event is FREE to the public\, but REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. SUMMARY:NSU Art Museum presents Pablo Cano: Marionette Performance
DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, December 18th from 3 – 4pm join artist Pablo Cano\, opera singer Maria Elena Vallejo\, musician Herman Leghorn\, and a troupe of extraordinary marionettes\, including Queen Marie Antoinette\, Meanie Manny and Poindexter Ant for a fantastical performance at NSU Art Museum Fort Lauderdale Free with Museum admission. Free for members\, NSU students and staff\, and children ages 12 and under. Limited seating. \nThis performance accompanies the installation of Pablo Cano’s marionettes and newly commissioned scenic backdrop in the exhibition The Art of Assemblage. DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, December 18th from 3-10pm experience the NoMi Art Walk\, join the North Miami CRA and embrace the arts and diversity of NoMi’s wonderful community\, with a history strongly embedded in the arts. NoMi Art Walk is a FREE event on every third Saturday in Downtown North Miami. The event begins at Red Bridge Studios\, an artists’ complex in North Miami with studio/exhibition space; then MOCA North Miami presents contemporary art and its historical influences through exhibitions\, educational programs\, and collections; and the evening ends at City Hall\, located at 776 NE 125th Street in North Miami\, FL 33161. \nNoMi Art Walk Activities include:\n\n\nArtisan Market at the Art Walk\, 3pm – 10pm\nJoin us for the Artisan Market at NoMi Art Walk\, featuring pop-up shops\, artist showcases\, handmade items\, vintage shopping\, boutique goods and FUN.\n\n\nPop Up Exhibits\, 3pm- 10pm\nJoin the International Reggae Poster Contest for a pop up experience.
