DESCRIPTION:Friday\, July 11th from 5-8pm art collectors and aficionados are cordially invited to experience renowned glass artist Abby Modell in the exhibition\, ZODIAC: Mysterious Power of the Creative\, at the Medici Museum of Art. Feuerman\n● Donna Dodson\n● Pilar Zeta\n● Lorenzo Quinn\n● Barbara Segal\n● Abby Modell\n● Eva Bader-Frank\n● Dan Morgan\n● Maria Pavlovska\n● Nadine A. Ghaffar

SUMMARY:NSU Art Museum presents Creativity Exploration: Mindful Metal Work
DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, July 12th from 12 Noon – 1:30pm NSU Art Museum presents Creativity Exploration: Mindful Metal Work. Inspired by Kiki Smith’s use of symbology\, which often incorporates animals\, plants\, and mythic imagery to explore themes of the body\, nature\, and transformation\, create a metal relief sculpture using tin and embossing tools. Through the integration of ancient symbols\, engage in a creative process that connects contemporary art practices with timeless visual language. \nCreativity Exploration adult workshops promote the benefits of material exploration and the mind-to-body experience. Studies have shown that 45 minutes of creative activity a day reduces stress and offers mental clarity and relaxation. In addition to producing a sense of well-being\, sessions expand participants’ perceptions of forms\, while increasing brain connectivity through visual and cognitive stimulation. The workshop is led by educator Lark Keeler\, a specialist in mindfulness education. \nPreregistration Required. Space is Limited.
