Special opening for Art Days organized in collaboration with Miami Downtown Development Authority on Sept 7\, 8 and 9. Guided tour by the artist on Saturday\, September 8th at 1 pm.\nAn experiment with different kinds of handmade paper that Carlos found in local art supply stores. The city as a source of inspiration. The view consists of six installations of drawings on paper and an installation of objects that were found converted into masks. A result of the daily experiences of the artist – a conversation between the city’s stories and his own personal world. DESCRIPTION:Thursday\, September 13th from 7-9pm enjoy an Artist Reception at the Museum of Contemporary Art North Miami (MOCA) for the debut of Tracing the Red Thread\, a multimedia exhibition by acclaimed South Florida-based artist Mira Lehr. The multimedia\, museum-wide installation will reflect Lehr’s eco-feminist philosophy\, the concept of mankind working with nature rather than dominating over it and the lessons she learned while working with Buckminster Fuller on his “World Game Project.” In her works\, Lehr explores the beauty\, fragility and interconnectedness of South Florida’s endangered marine ecosystem and climate change as a major environmental issue facing mankind today.
