SUMMARY:The Contemporary Art Modern Project (CAMP Gallery) kicks off February with three new exhibitions
DESCRIPTION:Friday\, February 7th from 6:30 – 9pm kick off February with three dynamic\, new exhibitions\, all running from February 7–28 at the Contemporary Art Modern Project (CAMP Gallery). Enjoy the evening exploring time and reality\, and presence from five distinct perspectives. \nIn Gallery A\, Liz Leggett and James Akers team up for Light Speed\, exploring how time and space shape the act of creation. Leggett’s fast\, instinctive paintings and Akers’ patient\, methodical sculptures invite us to see how art unfolds at different paces—sometimes in a flash\, other times slowly and steadily. Curated by Nicole Zambrano. \nIn Gallery B\, On The Other Side features Khotan Fernandez and Seth Ellison\, who take us to alternate dimensions where the familiar becomes strange. Their work twists and reshapes everyday landscapes\, inviting us to rethink how we experience space and perception\, while offering a glimpse into worlds beyond the ordinary. Curated by Gabriel Torres. \nIn the gallery’s new incubator space\, Thomas Donaldson‘s solo exhibition\, (In)corporeal\, challenges how we perceive the human body. With subtle distortions and intimate interactions with the space\, Donaldson draws us into a conversation about presence and absence\, pushing us to reconsider what it means to be physically here but emotionally distant. Curated by Sofia Witos.
