DESCRIPTION:Thursday\, August 7th from 11 am – Noon or 1 – 5 pm to experience NSU Art Museum’s new VR Art program developed by Nova Southeastern University faculty and students from the Department of Communication\, Media\, and the Arts in the Halmos College of Arts and Sciences. Experiment with painting in virtual reality in this session. This guided\, free activity is available in English & Spanish\, and will be offered on a first-come\, first-served basis. The museum has a capacity of 3 participants at one time. RSVP HERE. \nIdentical twins and first-generation Cuban-Americans\, Elliot & Erick Jiménez (b. 1989\, Miami) were born and raised in Miami by Cuban immigrants and now reside between Miami and New York. Their photographic practice began from an early passion for art history and influences derived from a spiritual upbringing and exposure to the Lucumí religion—a syncretic religion that combines both Yoruba and Catholic imagery. Inspired by paintings\, their work portrays the ephemeral nature of light and color through experimental photographic techniques.
