The founders of Coral Gables knew that people want safe\, beautiful places to be outside and to get close to nature. Come visit some of the oldest and newest spaces in the City. [This tour will meet at the War Memorial Youth Center at 405 University Dr.\, ticketing available here.] This family-friendly bike tour kicks off with a bike safety rodeo\, followed by a guided tour of some of the most popular parks and open spaces. Tour will stop at the Coral Gables Library Butterfly Garden\, Salvadore Park\, the Coral Gables Golf and Country Club\, Venetian Pool\, and a few of our most popular neighborhood family parks. End the tour with some play time at the Youth Center playground. \nYou will need to bring your own bike. Helmets are required for children under 16.

DESCRIPTION:Thursday\, September 21st from 5:30 – 7pm Museum Circle members are invited to a private reception at the Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) prior to the Scholl Lecture Series\, presented by Goldman Sachs\, featuring New York based artist Carla Gannis. \nAbout Carla Gannis\nCarla Gannis is a New York based artist known for her pioneering work that fuses technology and traditional media\, producing multilayered narratives that challenge aesthetic and societal norms. Her art is characterized by a commitment to experimentation. Throughout her career\, she has worked with an array of mediums and tools\, including drawing\, painting\, video\, extended reality\, and machine learning models. Her multilayered narratives engage with the loci of identity within the context of hyperreal 21st century conditions. Gannis holds an MFA in painting from Boston University. Today she teaches “healing-edge” technology as an Industry Professor at NYU’s Tandon School of Engineering in the Department of Technology\, Culture\, and Society.
