DESCRIPTION:Friday\, May 8th through Sunday\, May 10th experience the 28th Contemporary Art International Zurich Art Fair\, taking place at Puls 5 Hall\, Zurich\, Switzerland. The art fair explores a range of themes\, from identity and migration to memory\, depictions of nature and landscapes\, and questions of spirituality\, urbanization and social change. \nIt also addresses global issues such as resilience in times of crisis\, ecological responsibility and the search for belonging. Alongside figurative and realistic pieces\, there are expressive\, pop-surrealist and conceptual works that combine emotional depth with formal precision. Many of the pieces are interdisciplinary\, combining different art forms to create multilayered visual spaces influenced by cultures from around the world. \nThe exhibition offers new perspectives beyond the European mainstream and promotes dialogue between continents\, generations and disciplines. DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, May 9th from 12 – 1:30pm NSU Art Museum presents Creativity Exploration: Wander in Watercolor. Inspired by the abstract paintings of Michelle Armas and Helen Frankenthaler\, wander through different approaches and techniques using watercolor painting and inks\, creating a colorful\, layered design. Activate play\, wonder\, and noticing through the intentional experimentation and exploration of working in watercolor. RSVP HERE. \nCreativity Exploration adult workshops promote the benefits of material exploration and the mind-to-body experience. “Research suggests that experiencing art and creativity\, even for a few minutes a day\, has tangible effects on our mental and physical health” (New York Times). In addition to producing a sense of well-being\, sessions expand participants’ perceptions of forms\, while increasing brain connectivity through visual and cognitive stimulation.
