DESCRIPTION:Monday\, December 1st through Tuesday\, December 16th art lovers & collectors are cordially invited to the City of Sunny Isles Beach to experience the solo exhibition of internationally recognized\, award-winning visual artist & sculptor Mylene Costa at the Sunny Isles Beach Government Center. \nThe City of Sunny Isles Beach proudly announces the return of its recurring art series\, Art Uncorked\, with a captivating exhibition during Miami Art Week. This event\, presented in partnership with the acclaimed Paris-based gallery Espace Meyer Zafra and Sunny Isles Beach-based artist Mylene Costa\, will run from December 1 to December 16\, 2025\, at the Sunny Isles Beach Government Center. \nThe City will also host a special reception event titled “The Shape of Art: A Live Curation” on December 3 from 6 – 8 p.m. at the Sunny Isles Beach Government Center featuring champagne\, hors d’oeuvres\, and the opportunity to hear from gallerist Liliane Zafrani and artist Mylene Costa. \n  \nABOUT THE ARTIST \nMiami artist Mylene Costa is a Brazilian sculptor of international recognition\, whose work stands out for its feminine power\, formal elegance\, and refined aesthetic sensitivity. Born in Cuiabá\, Brazil\, she has built a solid and authentic career\, dividing her life between Brazil and the United States. Married to Sérgio Jacinto Costa and mother of three\, she skillfully balances family life\, rural production\, and a flourishing artistic journey. Her sculpture is both language and thought — an invitation to contemplate the body\, form\, and memory. With a poetic and plural approach\, her work moves between the figurative and the abstract\, the structural and the symbolic\, unconstrained by technical or thematic limits. Each piece is born from the fusion of intuition and reflection\, evoking questions of time\, ancestry\, human relationships\, and the silence of expanding forms. DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, December 13th from 12 – 1:30pm enjoy Creativity Exploration: Offering Bowls at NSU Art Museum in Fort Lauderdale. An offering bowl is a symbolic tool that can be used to cultivate mindfulness\, positivity\, well-being\, and gratitude. Create your own bowl that can be used in a personal practice\, a small group setting\, or a creative community ritual. Inspired by the work of Onajide Shabaka\, design your bowl with intention and purpose\, using surface decoration and decoupage techniques. \nCreativity Exploration adult workshops promote the benefits of material exploration and the mind-to-body experience. Studies have shown that 45 minutes of creative activity a day reduces stress and offers mental clarity and relaxation. In addition to producing a sense of well-being\, sessions expand participants’ perceptions of forms\, while increasing brain connectivity through visual and cognitive stimulation. The workshop is led by educator Lark Keeler\, a specialist in mindfulness education. \nPreregistration Required.
