American street artist Tysen Knight was born in Fort Lauderdale\, Florida\, but called New Jersey his home until moving to Philadelphia\, Pennsylvania after high school. Tysen currently resides in Palm Springs\, California\, where his artwork can be found throughout the area; as well as hanging in local galleries. Tysen’s love for art has opened the door to many different forms of media including acting in feature films and music videos\, modeling\, and directing his own full-length documentary\, “The Art of Hustle: Street Art Documentary.”\nGrowing up in the peak of the Street Art Movement\, Tysen was inspired by the works of famous street artists such as Jean-Michel Basquiat and Keith Haring. Tysen’s art style also reflects the styles of Fine Artist Pablo Picasso and Pop Artist Andy Warhol. Tysen uses these influences to create unique pop culture graffiti pieces that can not only be found on city murals\, but in Fine Art galleries. The exhibition is named after Elias’ charitable organization dedicated to creating greater awareness for the rapid extinction of endangered species and indigenous cultures around the world through a visually compelling campaign.\nCurated by Sebastien Laboureau\, resident art advisor of The Sagamore Hotel\, “I’m Not a Trophy” is presented in partnership with Markowicz Fine Art\, the exclusive representative of Arno Elias in South Florida. Pieces will include iconic African animals\, such as lions\, elephants\, rhinoceros\, gorillas\, giraffes\, cheetahs and the last of wild tigers in India\, but also numerous portraits and artifacts from some of the African Tribes whose lives also depend on a fragile ecosystem. Other artworks on display will be from international guest artists who are involved with the cause. In 2018\, NOBULL teamed up with artist\, Kent Youngstrom\, to create Art Work. He worked with NOBULL athletes to make art from working out. Footwear was then designed based off of each athlete’s canvas. Now they’re bringing Kent Youngstrom\, Sam Dancer\, and Kristi Eramo to Miami to create all new Art Work\, and their new retail store in Wynwood is the blank canvas. Enjoy this community event and help make the new store feel like home! Sign up for a 45-minute time slot to make art with us\, and spend the afternoon with NOBULL while enjoying live DJ music\, a local food truck\, tie dye station\, and more.
