SUMMARY:Poems at The Underline Kick-Off
DESCRIPTION:Friday\, April 23rd through Sunday\, April 25th from 8-10pm O\, Miami is partnering with The Underline to project fourty-four poems\, written by Miamians\, in downtown Brickell. Experience a socially-distanced kick-off event with music by DJ Hottpants\, a poetry reading by local poet Calvin Early\, Bookleggers new Bookbike\, and sip on beer by Unbranded Brewery Company. Attendees are required to wear a mask and practice social distancing. This is a free event & open to the public\, REGISTER HERE.\nEvery evening from 8-10pm on April 23-25\, an LED screen will display a loop of the poems\, which were collected by O\, Miami through an open call in 2020. Each poem explores the topics of urban greenspace and the subtropical ecosystem of Miami. The projections will take place at the Sound Stage at The Underline’s Promenade\, near the intersection of SW 8th St and SW 1st Avenue.

Cheryl was selected by PBS for Project Filmmaker\, where her film was televised nationally\, funded by the National Endowment for the Arts.
