DESCRIPTION:Thursday\, February 16th through Sunday\, February 19th Superfine Art Fair returns to its Miami roots with 100+ local and global artists spread across 30\,000 square feet at Ice Palace Studios. Led by entrepreneurs Alex Mitow and James Miille and voted Best Art Fair in Miami in 2017 by Miami New Times\, Superfine Art Fair is known as the top art fair for discovering new\, emerging artists and high quality work at affordable prices. \nFor the first time ever\, the fair partners exclusively with data-driven experience company\, Fever\, to provide three levels of access to the four day event. Expect a dose of local color with installations by Karelle Levy and a first time Superfine x KRELwear collab available in the fair’s Design Shop. The fair opens Thursday night with bubbly and cocktails with live performances under the stars in the jungle garden lounge. Friday brings Cafecitos y Cubanos\, a locals-in-the-know soirée co-presented by 3:05 Cafecito. What role did the Renaissance biographer Georgio Vasari play in perpetuating their posthumous reputations? Why is the Mona Lisa so famous? What role did modern biographical novels and biopic films such as The Agony and the Ecstasy (by Irving Stone\, 1961) play in making these artists household names? Has effusive reproductions of these works in books\, posters and on the internet increased their appeal while overshadowing their artistry?
