RSVP HERE. \nIntroduction to Drawing and Art History is a monthly 3-hour workshop\, where students learn how to create compelling still-life images with charcoal or graphite inspired by the composition\, technique and observation of specific periods in Art History. Each session focuses on short fragments of the history of art\, creating a quick and dynamic timeline that reviews the most relevant elements and influences in art\, while enriching the mind and providing inspiration for still-life compositions. While it is recommended to take various workshops to enhance the art history and technique aspects of each lesson\, students have the option to take workshops independently\, for each session is designed to work autonomously reviewing basic elements of drawing\, perspective and composition. \n18 years old and adults. Offered monthly on Saturdays\, Creation Station is a drop-in program featuring an art activity inspired by artworks currently on view. Start your visit with a fun gallery exploration using kid-friendly prompts and activity aids that highlight a featured artwork. Then head to the studio to create your own piece using a variety of materials and techniques. Each month brings a new theme to keep things fresh\, creative\, and connected to the exhibitions. Designed for children ages 5 and up. No preregistration required—just bring your imagination! \nIn April\, families will explore Eduardo Chacon: Postcards to Nowhere\, noticing how the artist captures the special and fleeting moments of everyday life. After spending time in the galleries\, participants will create their own candid portraits of each other\, focusing on quick observations and simple drawing techniques. Pruitt is inviting local artists to sell their art and wares during the one-day happening\, which will be held at NSU Art Museum (One East Las Olas Blvd.\, Fort Lauderdale\, FL). RSVP HERE. \nTaking the form of a traditional open-air bazaar\, Rob Pruitt’s Flea Market is an opportunity to meet artists and take home an original artwork in a relaxed atmosphere.
