DESCRIPTION:Friday\, June 5th from 6 – 9pm Cornell Art Museum at Old School Square presents the Opening Reception for Persistence of Matter\, an exhibition showcasing artists who transform the forgotten into the unforgettable. Through thoughtful upcycling and environmental awareness\, participating artists reimagine discarded materials—revealing their resilience\, hidden histories\, and potential for renewal. \nThis group exhibition explores the enduring life of materials and the idea that what we discard does not simply disappear. Instead\, it remains\, shifts form\, and waits for imagination. By elevating cast-off objects into compelling works of art\, the artists challenge viewers to reconsider consumption\, waste\, and the environmental impact of everyday materials.
