DESCRIPTION:Wednesday\, November 30th through Sunday\, December\, 4th enjoy The Flamingo Lounge\, created by Tabanlıoğlu Architects for Design Miami/ 2016\, inspired by a number of diverse sources\, from the flamboyant panache of cult filmmaker John Waters\, to the utilitarian minimalism of Mies van der Rohe and the colorful liquidity of Gaetano Pesce. Deeply rooted in the modernist tradition of architectural making\, Tabanlioglu Architects have evolved an approach to design that has specific interest in cultural\, social\, political and geographic data stripped of the their stylistic and decorative preconceptions. Based in Istanbul\, Tabanlioglu aims to bring the essence of tropical Miami into the lounge which is a central feature in this prestigious international design event. Entitled The Flamingo Lounge\, to reflect the single candy pink color that will be used throughout the space; the 100m² area will be open for the duration of the Fair to host the most influential collectors\, gallerists\, designers and curators.\nPublic Hours:\nWednesday / from noon to 8pm\nThursday / 10am to 8pm\nFriday / 11am to 8pm\nSaturday / from noon to 8pm\nSunday / from noon to 6pm
