DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, January 14th from 11am – 3pm as part of PAMM Free Second Saturdays at the Pérez Art Museum Miami\, create artwork inspired by the museum’s latest exhibition\, by Christo’s Drawings: A Gift from the Maria Bechily and Scott Hodes Collection. Christo and his longtime collaborator and wife\, Jeanne Claude\, were well known for their reimagining of space and place. Inspired by the exhibition on view in the Diane and Robert Moss Gallery\, we invite museum guests to create their own drawings and sketches of reimagined subjects and spaces. For the rest of the day\, you can explore the galleries\, grab a meal at Verde\, or sit back and enjoy the breeze on the waterfront terrace. \nAdmission is free all day. SUMMARY:Educator Workshop: Writing Other Realities | Leandro Erlich's Liminal
DESCRIPTION:Monday\, January 23rd from 10am – 4pm immerse yourself in the work of Leandro Erlich at Pérez Art Museum Miami\, whose participatory art propels the viewer into the border between the everyday and the uncanny. In partnership with O\, Miami\, PAMM welcomes you to participate in an immersive workshop that creates a bridge between the visual arts and poetry. Experience an inquiry-driven tour of Liminal\, engage in a poetry-writing workshop inspired by Erlich’s work\, and conclude with an artmaking activity you can take back to your classroom (no experience necessary!). \nThis session highlights the intersection between visual arts and English language arts but is open to all interested K-12 educators. \nM-DCPS teachers should register via Frontline to receive Master Plan Points. \nOpen to K-12 educators in all subject areas.
