Beaux Arts proudly supports Museum on the Move\, an innovative new education program that brings almost 4000 Broward County k-12 students to NSU Art Museum Fort Lauderdale for an interactive tour and learning experience. Beaux Arts also hosts an annual Spring Honoree Luncheon to help garner support for future art education initiatives at NSU Art Museum. Finally\, Beaux Arts provides support to the NSU Art Museum by contributing to the museum’s ongoing operations & enhancing its educational programming and outreach. DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, December 13th from 12 – 1:30pm enjoy Creativity Exploration: Offering Bowls at NSU Art Museum in Fort Lauderdale. An offering bowl is a symbolic tool that can be used to cultivate mindfulness\, positivity\, well-being\, and gratitude. Create your own bowl that can be used in a personal practice\, a small group setting\, or a creative community ritual. Inspired by the work of Onajide Shabaka\, design your bowl with intention and purpose\, using surface decoration and decoupage techniques. \nCreativity Exploration adult workshops promote the benefits of material exploration and the mind-to-body experience. Studies have shown that 45 minutes of creative activity a day reduces stress and offers mental clarity and relaxation. In addition to producing a sense of well-being\, sessions expand participants’ perceptions of forms\, while increasing brain connectivity through visual and cognitive stimulation. The workshop is led by educator Lark Keeler\, a specialist in mindfulness education. \nPreregistration Required. She is the creator of REEFLINE\, a new typology where art becomes habitat and cities learn to coexist with their oceans.
