DESCRIPTION:Tuesday\, November 29th through Sunday\, December 4th during Miami Art Week enjoy José Parlá’s site-specific installation ‘Roots‘ at YoungArts Jewel Box. Curated by Laurie Ann Farrell of the Savannah College of Art and Design\, was commissioned by Rolls-Royce Motor Cars North America as part of the Rolls-Royce Art Program. The installation of new paintings and sculpture explores the intersections between Parlá’s Cuban and American heritages. The installation will be on view through December 15th. Deeply rooted in the modernist tradition of architectural making\, Tabanlioglu Architects have evolved an approach to design that has specific interest in cultural\, social\, political and geographic data stripped of the their stylistic and decorative preconceptions. Based in Istanbul\, Tabanlioglu aims to bring the essence of tropical Miami into the lounge which is a central feature in this prestigious international design event.
