SUMMARY:Impossible Dream presents the Art of Sail Journey with Magda Love
DESCRIPTION:Thursday\, December 7th from 11am-8pm the Impossible Dream invites you to experience the Art of Sail journey\, Art Basel Edition during Miami Art Week\, curated by Rise Up Gallery founder\, David McCauley. Resident artist\, Magda Love\, is splashing her vision of colorful love on the repurposed sails of a 60 foot catamaran\, specially designed to make sailing accessible to veterans and people living with disabilities. The project celebrates and combines the healing power of our oceans and the arts.\nThe group will be sailing along Biscayne Bay\, and docking at various points including at the American Airlines Arena\, on December 6th\, 7th and 8th\, using art and design as a catalyst for awareness of ocean conservation while sailing and pursuing a better quality of life for people with disabilities and their families. Look out for the most colorful sails on the bay! This year the Impossible Dream mission has taken the group on a five (5) month summer voyage from Miami to Quebec\, visiting twelve cities\, over 6000 miles\, partnering with numerous rehabilitation hospitals along the way. DESCRIPTION:Sunday\, December 17th from 11-3pm join us for Progressive Bunch at Dot Fiftyone\, Emerson Dorsch\, Mindy Solomon\, Pan American Art Projects and Spinello Projects for an afternoon of gastronomic and creative nourishment. Capitalizing on the Sunday brunch concept\, the five galleries will offer a separate dish at each location that will run simultaneously throughout the day. Back by popular demand\, the event will highlight the current programming at each venue and enable visitors a more intimate look at the exhibitions on view. The galleries are located in the Little Haiti and Little River Arts Districts.
