DESCRIPTION:Sunday\, October 5th from 12 – 3pm   The Contemporary Art Modern Project (CAMPGallery) invites you to enjoy a Brunch and an Artist Talk featuring Miami-based artist Hermes Berrio. Come experience a special brunch and walkthrough of Aqui No Pasa Nada\, Hermes Berrio’s current exhibition at the Camp Gallery\, now extended through October 8. Guests will enjoy brunch bites and drinks as Berrios shares the inspiration behind his series of works depicting what life is like for Miami locals. This Event is FREE & Open to the Public | RSVP HERE. \nHermes Berrio is a Miami-based artist whose work explores the overlooked awe of daily life. A graduate of New York University (BFA\, 2005)\, he has exhibited internationally across the United States\, Latin America\, Europe\, and Australia\, and his murals can be seen throughout Miami. His honors include two Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grants (2018\, 2022)\, the Ruth and Harold Chenven Foundation Grant (2019)\, the South Florida Cultural Consortium Grant (2023)\, and two Miami Individual Artist (MIA) Grants (2023\, 2024). Berrio was a Fountainhead Studios resident from 2019 to 2024 and continues to challenge contemporary expectations with his evolving practice.

DESCRIPTION:October 16th from 5 – 6:30pm close out Hispanic and Latino Heritage Month at the Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) with a guided tour by local artist Thom Wheeler Castillo. The tour is focused on Hispanic and Latino artists in PAMM’s collection\, highlighting artists like Guadalupe Maravilla\, Ad Minoliti\, Zilia Sánchez\, and Teresita Fernández. After the tour\, enjoy happy hour specials at our waterfront restaurant Verde. FREE with RSVP. \n  \nAbout Thom Wheeler Castillo \nThom Wheeler Castillo lives and works in Miami\, FL. Interested in landscape\, environmentalism\, and ecosystems\, he works from an interdisciplinary approach entwining histories\, earth sciences\, and anthropology to espouse living through the anthropogenic era. Since 2021\, he’s embarked on cultural missions throughout the Caribbean region\, working with Curator Rosie Gordon-Wallace and the Diaspora Vibe Cultural Arts Incubator’s International Cultural Exchanges (I.C.E). He is currently an Artist-In-Residence Studio Fellowship with DVCAI and a 2025 recipient of its Catalyst award. One-half of Collective Archival Feedback\, along with E. Milgrim\, he explores field work\, archives and sound composition. As an educator\, he works with various institutions throughout the region including HistoryMiami\, the Rubell Museum\, and the Miami Design District.

DESCRIPTION:Thursday\, October 30th from 7 – 8:30pm meet up on Pérez Art Museum Miami’s (PAMM) waterfront terrace for a retro-creepy Halloween screening of the original “Beetlejuice” (1988) on a 60-foot floating screen\, courtesy of Ballyhoo Media. \nPrior to the film\, enjoy tours in the galleries and happy hour specials at Verde. The film will be screened from the water\, and you are welcome to bring lawn chairs and blankets to set up the perfect sunset spot on the beach. Food and drinks will be available for purchase.
