DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, October 23rd from 11am – 8pm experience ‘A Beautiful Day In The Neighborhood’ at BREACH Gallery by Miami-based artist Hermes Berrio. A collection of paintings created over the past two years that represent a pivotal moment in Berrio’s evolution. His inspiration springs from the everyday\, the oft quiet and intimate moments which make the building blocks of daily life. This Event is FREE & Open to the Public. \nBerrio’s paintings are at once deeply personal snapshots of his people and his city\, and a sublimely laid out perspective that feels universal and unpretentious. Like much of his past work\, his pieces for this exhibition are documentary-like in nature\, derived from the artist’s photographs. Reaching beyond the simplicity of such fundamental daily happenings\, Berrio’s paintings present a monumental vision of urban life.
