Explore hotels\, restaurants\, and other commercial structures with a visit to a number of interiors. As part of PAMM Free Second Saturdays\, create artwork inspired by Brazilian artist Hélio Oiticica’s Penetrável Macaleia. Oiticica created various Penetrável walk-in installations that immersed the viewer in color within environments that evoked and celebrated the favela communities of Rio de Janeiro. Recall a fun memory\, and create your own cube of color inspired by the past all in one afternoon. PAMM teaching artists will guide visitors of all ages in art making using color\, shape\, and textured materials to fill their own box of colorful memories. \nAdmission is free all day. DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, July 9th from 12 – 1:30pm NSU Art Museum Fort Lauderdale presents Creativity Exploration: Fun with Fungi. Create a sculpture inspired by artists exploring mysterious and magical mushrooms. Look at the works of Roxy Paine\, Beatrix Potter\, Yayoi Kusama\, Amanda Cobbett\, and others. \nCreativity Exploration adult workshops promote the benefits of creative exploration and the mind-to-body experience. Studies have shown that 45 minutes of creative activity a day reduces stress and offers mental clarity and relaxation. In addition to producing a sense of well-being\, sessions expand participants’ perceptions of forms\, while increasing brain connectivity through visual and cognitive stimulation. The workshop is led by educator Lark Keeler\, a specialist in mindfulness education. \nNo prior experience is necessary.
