This 1.5 to 2-hour walking tour provides an introduction to the Art Deco\, Mediterranean Revival\, and Miami Modern (MiMo) styles found within the Miami Beach Architectural Historic District. Explore hotels\, restaurants\, and other commercial structures with a visit to a number of interiors. DESCRIPTION:Thursday\, February 1st from 6 – 7:30pm enjoy Creativity Exploration: Memories and Meanings at NSU Art Museum in Fort Lauderdale. Inspired by the collected and curated objects in the assemblage pieces by artist Katherine Jones\, craft your own memory box with objects that remind you of your own personal relationships and journeys. Bring any materials you wish to incorporate into your design. \nCreativity Exploration adult workshops promote the benefits of material exploration and the mind-to-body experience. Studies have shown that 45 minutes of creative activity a day reduces stress and offers mental clarity and relaxation. In addition to producing a sense of well-being\, sessions expand participants’ perceptions of forms\, while increasing brain connectivity through visual and cognitive stimulation. The workshop is led by educator Lark Keeler\, a specialist in mindfulness education. \nPreregistration Required.
