This 1.5 to 2-hour walking tour provides an introduction to the Art Deco\, Mediterranean Revival\, and Miami Modern (MiMo) styles found within the Miami Beach Architectural Historic District. Explore hotels\, restaurants\, and other commercial structures with a visit to a number of interiors. Set in the 1980s\, Russell Banks’ Continental Drift follows two plots—one of a working-class New Englander moving to Florida in search of riches and the other\, of a young Haitian woman emigrating to the United States to flee the strife of her homeland.
