SUMMARY:The Contemporary Art Modern Project (CAMP Gallery) presents a Film Screening Night: "Vision/Version in Motion"
DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, January 31st from 6 – 9pm enjoy a Film Screening Night at The Contemporary Art Modern Project (CAMP Gallery) for “Vision/ Version In Motion” a one day screening of motion works by: Rey Parla\, Michael Betancourt\, Luis Gispert\, Barron Sherer\, Dinorah de Jesus Rodriquez\, Jose Parla\, Katelyn Kopenhaver\, David Correa\, and Pablo Power. \nThis selection of films curated by Power pays tribute to the spirit that drove the experimental Miami film making of the 1990s\, which at the time was heavily based on the independent films shown at the Alliance Theater on Lincoln Road. In fact\, Power’s first interest in film was born through an invitation from Rey Parla to view his piece “Sporadic Germination” at an Alliance screening in 1995. Although the works and artists that he saw that night provided a pivotal moment of inspiration\, the collaborative and conversational nature of the group left an impression that continues to drive his work. RSVP HERE. Visit the gallery through February 21st to view “Vision/Version” in person.
